Hi Amanda,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am always delighted to talk about the
magic of being an Annual Passholder. If you already have an annual pass that was assigned to someone and used, that pass is non-transferable according to the
Annual Passholder Terms and Conditions. If you have an annual pass that was renewed and has not been used, that renewed, unused pass cannot be reassigned but it may be possible to apply the value of that pass to the purchase of a new annual pass. I did speak with a cast member who confirmed that used annual passes are non-transferable. I will stress that you do need to speak with a cast member who can review the precise details of the annual pass in question, and they can confirm possible solutions for you. The wonderful cast member I spoke with did add that in
rare circumstances there may be alternative suggestions.
In the meantime, if you are planning to purchase another annual pass, be sure to review the
annual pass options. As a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member, I previously had the Disney Sorcerer Pass which I renewed. This year, however, I decided to purchase the Incredi-Pass because it does not have any blockout dates, so I was able to schedule our December trip without having to worry about those blockout dates. To see the blockout dates, just review the
Admissions Calendar and click on each pass.
As you consider annual pass options, also review the prices for theme park admission tickets and consider the number of times per year you all will visit the parks. While my husband and girls had annual passes for a while, now I am the only one with an annual pass because they do not visit as often as I do. So, we always do the math to calculate the cost savings. I am still able to use my annual pass to take advantage of any
Special Offers available to annual passholders. I hope this helps!
