is there a tram from the parking lot to the entrance of Disneyland

Hello there, Kevin! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great planning question and I'm happy to get you an answer!

One of my favorite things at Disneyland Resort is the multiple modes of Disney transportation! If you are parking at either Pixar Pals Parking Structure or Mickey & Friends Parking Structure, there is a tram that runs from the bottom level of the structure. First, you will go through security and then board the tram that will take you to the edge of the Downtown Disney District which will bring you into the Esplanade between the two parks. If you are going to be parking at the Toy Story Parking Area, you will board a bus and it will drop you off at the opposite side of the Esplanade. There is security at the Toy Story Parking Area. Although lately, when I arrive later in the day, security is closed and instead, you go through security once you exit the buses at the Esplanade.

Some of my other favorite transportation types are the Disneyland Monorail and the Disneyland Railroad. I love hitching a ride on the Disneyland Railroad when I need a little break. I love seeing and hearing the sounds of all the different lands throughout the park.

Kevin, thanks so much for stopping by! See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mama and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. We love that we are close enough to Disneyland Resort to make a last-minute trip to see the Mouse quite frequently. You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
