Hey there, hi there, Lynette! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. Oh boy, I bet you’re super excited to be at the Happiest Place on Earth in just a couple of weeks! My ‘ohana and I also have a trip planned this month and we can’t wait.
Good news, you will get to experience the tram! Both the
Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures provide tram service to the main entrance of the parks. I have to say, for me the tram is more than just transportation from car to gate – it’s my childhood, it’s nostalgia, it’s the anticipation and pure excitement for the magical day you’re about to experience!
Lynette, in case you’re looking for a few more tips….
~ I would recommend adding Disney Genie+ to your tickets if you haven’t already, as you will save hours of time not having to wait in long standby queues. When my family and I visit, especially during summer, we add Genie+ to our day and we’re able to leverage at least 12-14 Lightning Lanes in a day (these are the shorter queues you have access to with Genie+.)
~ An additional perk with Genie+ is it comes with complimentary access to
Disney PhotoPass! We stop at all the PhotoPass locations to get our photos taken, including Magic Shots (ask the photographer about these special effects.) PhotoPass also includes the attraction photos. You’ll be able to access unlimited digital downloads of these photos in the
Disneyland mobile app.
~ Bring a reusable water bottle with you, as there are refilling stations all over the parks. It helps both the environment and your budget, and keeps you hydrated and powered up for all the magic. You can search in the app for refilling station locations.
~ Bring a portable charger if you can. It's very helpful to use the Disneyland mobile app throughout the day and it gives you peace of mind knowing you can keep your phone charged.
Lynette, wishing you the most magical trip. Adventure is out there!
