Welcome to planDisney, Peter! We're glad you're here!
Always by Mickey's side is his ever-loyal companion, Pluto. I guess you can say that a dog can be a mouse's best friend, too! I'm happy to offer you some advice so that you and your service dog have a magical day.
For safety reasons, service animals are restricted from the following attractions (talk to a Cast Member at the attraction's entrance about a portable kennel for your dog):
Disneyland Park*Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
*Gadget's Go Coaster
*Indiana Jones Adventure
*Matterhorn Bobsleds
*Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
*Space Mountain
*Splash Mountain
*Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
*Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Disney California Adventure*Goofy's Sky School
*Grizzly River Run
*Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!
*Incredicoaster
*Jumpin' Jellyfish
*Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
*Radiator Springs Racers
*Silly Symphony Swings
*Soarin' Around the World
Some rides have multiple crates, but others will only have one. Since your dog will never be crated with another animal, you may be asked to wait periodically. You can find specific information on
Service Animals on the Disneyland website, including where to find relief areas for your pup in the parks. Also, all the quick service dining locations give out free iced water, so bring along a portable water bowl. I also recommend bringing your dog's paperwork, including vaccination records; most likely, you won't be asked, but it's nice to have it just in case. Another great resource is the
Services for Guests with Disabilities webpage. You may be able to qualify for
Disability Access Service (DAS), so you and your dog don't have to incur waits in the queue.
I hope you and your furry companion have the "ulti-mutt" day at Disneyland Resort, Peter!
