Howdy, Takako!
I'm happy to help answer your question about one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort watering holes,
Trail's End Restaurant located at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. If you've got a hankering for some good, down-home cookin', Trail's End can satisfy even the most hungry pioneers.
With a dinner menu featuring all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets, you can head off your hunger with such tasty offerings as pecan-smoked brisket, rotisserie chicken, andouille sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and green beans. If you clean your plates and would like more of any item, simply ask the friendly cowpoke tending to your table to bring you some more. (I know my family would be asking for more of that delicious brisket!) In addition to the heaping skillets, you'll enjoy starters of an Oven-Fresh Bread Basket with Goat Cheese Chive Biscuits, Hushpuppies and Cornbread with Pimento Spread, and a yummy Chopped Salad with Cornbread Croutons.
If all of that isn't enough to satisfy the hungry varmints at your table, Trail's End offers three Add-Ons at an additional fee. You can choose from a Half-Slab of Memphis-rubbed Pork Spare Ribs, a Peel-n-Eat Shrimp Boil, or Cornbread-Crusted Salmon. The price is
per plate, and there is typically enough for the table to share (depending on your party size). You can order the Add-Ons at any time during your meal, and if you find you want more, order two!
Make sure to save room for dessert, and the Covered Wagon Sundae. Your server will present you with a "wagon load" of ice cream, with toppings, brownies, cookies, and my favorite... chocolate-covered bacon! You're welcome to ask for seconds on dessert if your sweet tooth needs more satisfaction.
I hope this helps, and you'll soon be rounding up your hearty appetites to feast at this rustic, down-home treasure!
Hope to see y'all there! - Diane W.
