Hi there, Lauren!
Welcome back to planDisney! How exciting that you're already planning next year's Walt Disney World Resort visit! The
planDisney Podcast just released a mini-episode on how to count down to your next magical vacation, and I encourage you to give it a listen for suggestions on how to build excitement for the entire family as that countdown draws to a close. For now, let's dive right into your question!
Per
Disney Parks Wild About Safety website, Guests are welcome to bring their own flotation devices to Walt Disney World Water Parks and Disney Resort hotel pools as long as they are US Coast Guard / UL approved. As an auntie who just spent a week on a beach vacation with little ones, I know how comforting and convenient it is to have them in safety gear they are already familiar with. Of course, should an issue arise with your personal flotation devices, it is helpful to know that there are complimentary life jackets for Mouseketeers of all ages to use at Disney Water Parks and Resort Hotel pools.
Please keep in mind that Walt Disney World Resort water parks are currently opening on a rotational basis, so we do not yet know which water park will be available for Guests next April. My pal Jason compiled a
list of recent opening and closure dates that, while not a guarantee of future dates, might be helpful for you as you plan. Of course, no matter which water park you visit,
Disney's Blizzard Beach or
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, your little one is sure to love making a splash!
I hope this was helpful, Lauren, and that you have a magical time counting down to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Feel free to
stop back by with any additional questions that arise as you plan. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
