Hi Mari Len, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You're going to Walt Disney World in only a few short weeks – yay! I know your princesses are getting super excited for their royal visit, and I bet you are too.
For 2019's
Disney Dining Plans, converting Table Service entitlements is not permitted. I always recommend checking in with the Cast Members at your resort's front desk, as they have the most up-to-date information and can explain all your options for managing your Disney Dining Plan meal entitlements.
I'm not sure which plan you've selected, but on the Disney Dining Plan, you'll each have one Table Service, one Quick Service, and two snacks for each night of your visit. On the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, you'll each have three meals and two snacks for each night; the beauty of this plan is that
you decide whether those meals will be Quick Service or Table Service - whatever works best for your family! Whichever plan you've chosen, your girls won't need to sit down and have a Table Service meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
My family actually views our Table Service dining time as "relaxation mode" time. It’s so nice to sit down in the air conditioning, enjoy a cold drink, and take some time to share our favorite stories from the day.
While some Table Service locations, especially those with character dining or lots of theming, can be very exciting and stimulating, I have some suggestions for more mellow places to sit down and enjoy some quiet time. Kona Café, The Wave…of American Flavors, and Boma – Flavors of Africa have great menus and a quieter vibe. In the theme parks, Liberty Tree Tavern, Via Napoli, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, and Yak & Yeti Restaurant are lovely options.
Have so much fun counting down to your visit, Mari Len!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
