on the Tower of Terror ride at the studio theme park, when the car goes to the top and opens up, how long does it "hang" there before dropping?

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios involves a series of drops. Since each ride is different, involving a random sequence of ups and downs, you never know how long you will be left hanging. When the window opens up the time your elevator is suspended in air seems longer than the actual number of seconds you are actually still due to the incredible suspense you feel waiting for the big drop. The actual time the doors are open is just a few seconds.

Recently I experienced the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror with some of my fellow panelists. The mom sitting next to me was slightly stunned by the ride's intensity so be forewarned! The theming of this ride is excellent, one of the best in Walt Disney World. The back story told by Rod Serling, the elevator's journey through long, strange hallways, the hotel lobby and library, and even the queue create an atmosphere of suspense that help make this ride an amazing imagineering marvel. Do try this theme park thrill ride stand out.

    Fear every drop!
