Only one more sleep until
Walt Disney World! Allyssa, I'm thrilled you came to ask about one of my favorite finds in the Most Magical Place on Earth: the family suites at
Art of Animation Resort.
First, this resort is so much fun! With the themes in each of the areas, no matter where you stay, you have to explore them all! We've always been in the Cars building, which is perfect for my boys. But it is fun to see these larger-than-life landscapes, immersing us in the animation.
The Family Suites are a gem! The extra space, of course, makes a difference. But it is also the little things, like separate light switches. We could get the kids to sleep in the main area and then watch television in the separate bedroom without disrupting them. It made bedtimes so much easier.
And then there is the second bathroom! This is a luxury. Pure luxury! You will find towels, hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner and body wash to make your packing list a little shorter.
But pack your swimsuits! I am a huge fan of
The Big Blue Pool. Watching
Movies Under the Stars,
roasting marshmallows at the campfire, and enjoying time in the pool is a practically perfect way to spend an evening. Even when it's cold enough that weathermen warn of geckos falling from trees (Florida's version of freezing-temps warnings), the water is heated for comfortable year-round swimming.
Thinking about all there is to do at the resort, be sure to check out the activities schedule on the
Recreation page. There is always so much going on! Another great feature of this resort: access to the
Skyliner to swing like Tarzan from your hotel to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
Allyssa, I am excited that your trip is so close! If we can help with any other questions (like how to secure a
bounceback offer to stay in a suite at Art of Animation again), you have a friend in
planDisney!
See 'Ya Real Soon!
