Hi Glenn ~
I'm a HUGE fan of the
tours offered at the Walt Disney World Resort!
A lot of the tours are ECV friendly. There are a few tours that require Guests transfer from an ECV to a courtesy wheelchair and some that require Guests to be fully mobile. Here are some that require special consideration:
Caring for Giants - Guests using an ECV must leave their ECV onstage and transfer to a courtesy wheelchair. Guests must be assisted by a member of their party. ECVs can be picked up at the end of the tour.
Disney's The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour - Guests in ECVs must transfer to a wheelchair. There is part of it where you will go into the locomotive that you will need to be mobile to enjoy.
Epcot Seas Adventures - For any of these tours, Guests in ECVs must transfer to a wheelchair and be able to transfer into the aquarium. A member of their party must help them transfer.
Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience - Guests using an ECV must leave their ECV onstage and transfer to a courtesy wheelchair. Guests must be assisted by a member of their party. ECVs can be picked up at the end of the tour.
Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Guests using a wheelchair or ECV must leave it at Sanaa, where they will pick it up at the end of the experience.
Ultimate Nights of Adventure VIP Tour - Guests may use their ECVs or wheelchairs but must transfer to ride vehicles.
Wild Africa Trek - Guests must be fully ambulatory.
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure - Guests must be fully ambulatory.
Keep in mind that tours and policies may change so be sure to confirm when booking. Make sure that you tell the booking agent that you will be using an ECV so that they can accommodate you.
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
