We will be touring WDW Sept. 19 to Sept. 23, 2011. Our 4 year old is crazy for Star Wars and would like to be chosen to participate in the Jedi training activity. Is there any advice you can offer to us so that we can make sure he is chosen.

    Hi Charlene!

I have to tell you that my son loved being a part of the Star Wars: Jedi Training Academy in Hollywood Studios! Over the last few years, they have changed the way they pick kids for this special interactive experience. Currently, they are taking sign ups first thing in the day right by where the Jedi Training Academy stage is located (next to Star Tours 2.0 the Adventure Continues) or sometimes sign ups are at the Sounds Dangerous attraction. These sign ups are only open at the beginning of the day for all of the shows for that day. There also is a standby line in case the kids that signed up earlier that day do not show up at their scheduled show time, but those in the standby line are not guaranteed to be in a show. My advice to you is to arrive at Hollywood Studios 30 minutes before the Park is scheduled to open and when it opens, head straight to the side of Star Tours to sign up for that day's Jedi Training Academy.

I hope that your son gets to be a young Jedi in training at Hollywood Studios on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
