Touring AK Sun 7/29. If we arrive early and go right to Flights of Wonder to ride standby, can we then immediately ride Naavi River standby without waiting in a ridiculously long line?

    Hello, Joey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

My family went to Disney's Animal Kingdom just YESTERDAY, so I understand why you are asking your question. From my experience yesterday, my recommendation would be to arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom AT LEAST 90-minutes before the park opens. Getting through security and the gate will take you a while, so you want you to be prepared for that. Once you are allowed to make your way to Pandora - The World of Avatar, go to Avatar Flight of Passage first. AND...you are going to LOVE it! Now, you will still have to wait to ride Na'vi River Journey in the standby line. From our experience yesterday, we waited for about an hour after we finished riding Avatar Flight of Passage. Even though you will spend some time waiting in line for both rides with this plan, Avatar Flight of Passage AND Na'vi River Journey are TOTALLY worth it!

NOTE: Some people told me to wait until the end of the day to ride Avatar Flight of Passage because the lines will be shorter. This was not the case for my family yesterday. At the very end of the day, the wait was still 135 minutes. Don't wait until the end of the day. Stick with your plan and ride it at the beginning.

If you have other questions, please let us know! We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
