Want to tour resorts. Interested in: ASM, AKL, Boardwalk, Poly (torch ceremony), Pop and WL. Can you recommend a good order, amt. of time, the fastest & most fun mode of WDW trans., & anything special to see/do? Staying at FW - will see FW & CR

Hi, Cynthia!    I love checking out resorts!    Of course it makes me want to start planning my next WDW vacation as soon as possible!  There is a downside to visiting resorts:   it takes a lot of time!   If you don't have a car, you will need to take buses or boats which can take up time.    My recommendation is to pick 2 resorts and book a dining reservation for that resort so you can make good use of your time.

Here are my suggestions. . . pick what sounds good!

-All-Star Music and Pop Century:   We have stayed at Value Resorts several times, we love them!     However, not a lot to see compared to others.   Only counter service dining.  Save these for another time!

-Animal Kingdom Lodge:   Amazing resort both from an architecture standpoint and the views of the savannah.    Book a dinner at Boma or Jiko if you plan to visit here.  You will need to take a bus to get to AKL.

-Boardwalk:    Nice to take a break from Epcot for an hour or 2, head out the International Gateway near France and walk over to the Boardwalk.    Lap around the entire boardwalk to the Beach Club and have lunch at Beaches and Cream - no reservations needed!

-Polynesian:   Head here after a day at the Magic Kingdom.   Time it right and see the fireworks from the beach and the Electric Water Pageant.     From MK, take the Resort Monorail.

-Since you are staying at Fort Wilderness, you can catch a boat launch to Wilderness Lodge.    Book a dinner reservation at Whispering Canyon for a good time and great meal.

To book Advance Dining Reservations, call (407)WDW-DINE.    Have fun touring the WDW Resorts (but I warned you - you will be wanting to book another trip!  )

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
