Howdy Shelby! Your question makes my heart happy!
My husband and I first met with a
Disney Vacation Club Guide in 1997. We knew immediately we wanted to become DVC Members. Ownership was not something we had budgeted for though and the cost was something we discussed at length. Obviously, it ended up being a great fit for us but I would encourage you to chat with a Guide and ask any and all questions you have about Membership. You will not find a high-pressure sales pitch. Your Guide will explain how Membership works and discuss the financial aspects. From there, you will evaluate whether or not DVC is a good fit for you and your fiancé at this time.
We love DVC. We now have points at 5 DVC Resorts and have shared countless magical moments, initially as a couple and now as a mommy and daddy. DVC has been one of the best decisions we have ever made for our family.
When you speak with your Guide, you will be floating on pillows, on feathers on air. DVC allows you to vacation when, where and as often as you would like. It's magical but you need to ensure this is the right time for you. Even if this is not the right time, at the very least, you will have the information you need to budget for the future.
For further details or to speak with a Guide, call Disney Vacation Club at (800) 500-3990. You can also request a free DVD to see where Membership can take you.
Aside from speaking with a Guide, don't hesitate to ask me any other questions you may have. Whether you have questions about how the points work, what perks and benefits Members receive or ways to maximize your Membership once you join, I'm here to help.
I'm so excited for you!! Enjoy each moment as you learn about Disney Vacation Club. I wish you a magical day and an even more magical life as you and your fiancé begin your journey together.
