David from MN Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

A totally blind guest requires a guide, and a handicapped guest requires personal assistance while at the park. Is there any park ticket allowance or discount for the assistants? Do you still offer expedited entry to rides, etc?

Greetings, David, and welcome to planDisney!

As a mother of a severely autistic young man, after many visits to Walt Disney World Resort, I have always been the primary caregiver for my son during my visits, and on two occasions, we incurred all expenses for his behavioural therapist to accompany us. Therefore, I completely understand your circumstances, and my advice for you would be to contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com for further clarification beyond what I can present to you, as a Guest myself, David.

Walt Disney World Resort strives to afford all Guests an inclusive and enjoyable visit as reflected by their Services for Guests with Disabilities, which offers resources for Mobility Disabilities and Visual Disabilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

As well, please read through Disney’s Disability Access Service commonly referred to as the DAS, which is designed for Guests whose disability poses a challenge when waiting in attraction queues for extended periods of time. This service can be arranged in advance via a virtual consultation with the DAS Advance, or you can register in-person during your visit by stopping by any Guest Relations inside any of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. The DAS Advance consultation may take place anywhere from 2-days before your arrival up to 30-days before your arrival.

In preparation for your registration with DAS Advance, or in-person at any Guest Relations inside any Walt Disney World Resort theme park, please ensure that your sharing of plans with those in your travel party is complete by updating your Family & Friends list in My Disney Experience and that those who will need the DAS accommodation will be present for the registration process.

Kindly explore the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane Entrance service, which can be used alongside the DAS, and which, for a nominal fee, per person per day of valid theme park admission, and a Disney Park Pass reservation, enables you to select an arrival time from over 40 attractions that utilize a Lightning Lane Entrance.

I hope this information is helpful, David, and I look forward to being of any further assistance with your planning - thank you!
