There is a total of 9 of us going to Disney World and all of our tickets are connected, but when I try to buy the Genie for my family of 3, I can only buy my daughter and my ticket. My husband added his to his account. How can I also buy his with ours?

Season's Greetings, Kimberly! Welcome to planDisney!

It's beginning to look a lot like a Disney Christmas for your family! Just think, in only two more days, you'll be right in the middle of the holiday magic at the Walt Disney World Resort. That's the best Christmas present ever!

Kimberly, I'm so sorry you're having trouble adding your husband to your Disney Genie+ purchase. It sounds like Santa Stitch has gotten up to some mischief, so let's see if we can set things right.

Since your husband has his own My Disney Experience account, you'll need to make sure his account is connected to yours via the Family and Friends list. Go ahead and double check your list by hopping over to the Walt Disney World home page and clicking on "Sign In or Create Account" to log in. Next, hover your cursor over the "My Disney Experience" logo just below the sign-in prompt and scroll down to select "My Family & Friends." That will show you all of the Guests connected to your account. If you don't see your husband's name there, click on "Add a Guest" at the bottom of the page. You'll then have three options to connect his account. You may want to choose "I'll enter their name and age" so you can generate an invitation to the email address on your husband's My Disney Experience account. When he accepts the invitation, his name should appear on your list so you can then select him when purchasing Disney Genie+.

If his name does appear on your list and you still can't add him to your purchase, you may need to speak to a Cast Member in Guest Relations. You can try calling the number listed for Website Support, but hold times have been quite long of late. If you can, you might be better off waiting until you arrive at Walt Disney World and asking a Cast Member at the front desk of your Resort hotel for assistance, especially if you won't be visiting a theme park on your first day. They'll be able to get you all squared away and ready to hit the parks running with Disney Genie+!

Fingers crossed that you're able to work out this bug and get your vacation plans back on track, Kimberly! Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, and I wish you and your family a magical holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
