Howdy Andrea!
Welcome to planDisney. So many guests love purchasing Disney Gift Cards throughout the year to use for their Walt Disney World vacation. Sometimes you can find them on discount at various retailers. I like to purchase them at our local grocery store when I can get 4X in fuel points. You can’t go wrong with a gift card because you can use it for almost everything and anything at the resorts. Now, let’s see if we can help you with your question so you can get back to planning your next vacation.
I’ve actually had to do this myself and can tell you that you can absolutely purchase your tickets in separate transactions to utilize your gift cards. All you need to do is either visit the
Walt Disney World website or open your
My Disney Experience app. Go through the ticket selection process, and once you reach the end, you can use your Disney Gift Card to complete your purchase. Just remember that you can use only one gift card per transaction, and the total must be under the maximum amount on your gift card. Once you have purchased your tickets, you can assign them to the appropriate person in your Family & Friends list. You can repeat this process as many times as you need and continue to use your gift cards. Another option to consider is calling the
Tickets & Hotel Reservations number. A friendly cast member can process your tickets and take multiple gift cards for your purchase if that is more convenient for you.
One tip I would recommend is that once you have completed your transactions, return to the
Disney Gift Card website and combine any leftover amounts to one card for ease of use. You can use your gift cards for transactions throughout the parks and resorts. If you are looking for a great way to use your leftover balance, I would also recommend heading over to the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. There are a ton of outdoor kitchens with delicious food and treats, and you won’t want to miss them.
Andrea, I hope this helps with your planning and that you have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World. Please stop back by if you have any further questions, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
See ya real soon,
Robert
