I am a 100% total permanent disabled veteran and I would like Info on any benefit for a possible family cruise from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas over the summer.

    Hi, Kevin,

First of all, I thank you for your sacrifice and service on behalf of the citizens of our country. Because of your contributions and those of many others in the defense of our nation, we are fortunate to enjoy many great opportunities. That includes opportunities for world-class leisure like visiting Disney theme parks and cruises.

This is a great time for qualifying US military personnel to vacation with the Disney Cruise Line. There are two great offers for savings on Disney cruises. First is the list of cruises with Special US Military Rates. Selecting one of those sailings will automatically activate access to significant savings on select staterooms. The other offer is for a $250 stateroom credit in celebration of America's 250th anniversary this year. This offer is for qualifying US military personnel on select sailings on the Disney Wish out of Port Canaveral or the Disney Dream out of Fort Lauderdale. These offers are available to active-duty and retired US military and/or their spouses. That includes 100% disabled veterans.

Since this is related to the military, it's essential to discuss logistics, right? First of all, to book one or both of these offers, you may do so online, by calling the Disney Cruise Line Contact Center, or by reaching out to a travel advisor. If booking online, be sure to start from one of the special offers pages or activate the "Show Special Offer Filters" button from the regular Find a Cruise page. If you use the online tool to book a cruise with a Special US Military Rate on the Disney Wish or Disney Dream, I also recommend calling the Contact Center to make sure your $250 stateroom credit is also applied. If you don't see a cruise that matches your availability, you may want to check back from time to time. New itineraries are added to the list of Special US Military Rates fairly regularly. Finally, you will verify your eligibility when you check in for your cruise on embarkation day. To do so, simply present your qualifying US Military ID. In the case of a 100% Disabled American Veteran, this would either be a valid Next Generation Uniformed Services ID (USID) Card or a DD Form 2765 that indicates "DAV" or "DAVPRM."

Thanks again for all you have done, Kevin. I hope you enjoy a magical Disney Cruise vacation and a great 250th anniversary celebration.

    Bon voyage,
    ~Tony
