Hi! We're tossing around the idea of a last minute 2 day visit to the MK for Feb. 17-18, what are your tips for a quick and simple trip for 2 girls ages 7 & 6? I like the Contemporary Resort. Is the dining pkg worth it for just 2 days? What else? Thank

    Hi Holly!!!

We love the last minute weekend trips we have taken to Walt Disney World over the years.  They always end up being the most fun trips because they are so spur of the moment!!

Disney's Contemporary Resort would be a wonderful choice for you and your girls!  The proximity to the Magic Kingdom make this such a wonderful resort.  Also having the flexibility of the Monorail makes this a great resort!!

I definitely think the Dining Plan is worth it.  On this short of a trip I would highly recommend the Quick-Service Dining Plan.  This would give each person in your party two quick-service meals and a snack per day.  You would also get a Resort Refillable Mug for each person.  I would recommend the Quick-Service Plan because you would be able to eat quickly and then enjoy the rest of the time in the theme parks.  We love the regular Dining Plan that Disney offers, but with the table service meals you would find yourself eating a good part of your two days while at Walt Disney World.

I would recommend getting the Park Hopper Option on your tickets and enjoying two parks per day.  That way you would get in all four parks in the two day stretch.  We have done this plenty of times and it works great!!

I hope that everything comes together while planning your trip.  Please let us know if you have any additional questions!!

    Have a magical trip!!
