    In Tortula can we go to a beach without going on an excursion?

    Ahoy Leigh –
    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family had the opportunity to enjoy beach time in Tortola, and it was an awesome experience.  After reviewing our options, we decided to choose the Island Drive and Beach Break through Disney Cruise Line’s Port Adventures.  Prior to the beach time, we had a scenic tour of the island followed by 2 hours at a lovely sandy beach. If you would like to get to a beach, you will need to get a taxi because the beach is about a 25-30 minute ride away from the dock. Taxis are plentiful in town and at the dock, but when I left the beach, I only saw a few idling by for passengers. It may be difficult to get a taxi back without making plans with a driver. If your crew wants to explore the port without a taxi, then the dock leads directly into Road Town which is in walking distance and has shopping and dining.
