We are torn between POFQ & POR for May 2011 trip? I'm leaning towards POFQ. I heard it's smaller & the walk to POR isn't bad. Someone also told me POFQ recently re-did all rooms & they now all have Queen beds instead of doubles, is this all tru

Hi Wendy!  You will be going at a wonderful time of year!

I personally love Port Orleans French Quarter.  It is smaller, and is decorated in a wonderful 'mardi gras' theme.  The pool is awesome too...a giant sea serpent which has a huge long tongue you can slide down!  It is about a 10 minute walk to Port Orleans Riverside.

Guest services has confirmed with me that the French Quarter is currently in the process of upgrading all their double beds to queens - a process that will be finished by the end of April.  So there should be queen beds there by the time you arrive in May!

Wendy, have a wonderful family vacation!
