We are torn between dining at Liberty Tree, which we always like, and Jungle Navigation Co., where we have never eaten. I know their themes are completely different, but would you recommend one over the other? Thanks

    Hi Steve,

That's always a dilemma when planning a Walt Disney World vacation, isn't it? Do we return to the tried and true or branch out to a new dining experience?

I've had the opportunity to try Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen and really enjoyed the meal there. The atmosphere and the service exude the kitschy spirit of the Jungle Cruise attraction. I highly recommend the house-made arepas appetizer. I thought the head-on shrimp entree was tasty, and my dining companions all enjoyed their entrees of assorted seafood and steak dishes.

The Skipper Canteen menu -- with tastes from around the world -- is more exotic than Liberty Tree Tavern's traditional fare, so you will want to take your family's preferences into consideration.  But if they are a little adventurous in their culinary tastes, I'd give the new canteen a try.

Thanks for cruising by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We're always happy to share our experiences to help guests like you plan your Walt Disney World vacations. Enjoy!
