Hi Becky,
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! What a wonderful age to take your daughter to Walt Disney World. Be sure to check out the
Walt Disney World for preschoolers page for ideas. Another great resource is this
Disney Parks Blog post on height requirements for attractions. This will help you to see if there are any attractions that your child cannot experience due to height.
At
Magic Kingdom, I imagine that you could spend a lot of time in Fantasyland. This area includes classic attractions such as it's a small world, Peter Pan's Flight and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. If your little one likes the princesses, Enchanted Tales with Belle is a wonderful and interactive retelling of the Beauty and the Beast story. As for things to skip, you know your child best, so you should consider if a more thrilling attraction such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, assuming she meets the height requirement, is a good idea for her. The same would be true of an attraction such as Haunted Mansion - some preschoolers love it, and some are not yet ready for it.
At
Disney's Animal Kingdom, there are many attractions that are wonderful for all ages. My daughter has always enjoyed a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris to see giraffes and elephants, and our whole family loves the spectacle of the Festival of the Lion King Show. Again, if she is tall enough, consider if she will enjoy DINOSAUR, which can be frightening for young children.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Becky! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
