Hi Alex,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with another fantastic question!
Food, glorious food! My family reviews our dining options, particularly those that allow
advanced reservations, carefully prior to each trip. We always dine at many of our favorite locations while also adding in a few new restaurants on each trip. Our girls are 14-years old, so our selections as a family tend to still include a few
character dining favorites and a few
signature restaurants. Aside from the food, we also love restaurants with stunning views or ambiance. Given that everyone's dining preferences are different, I will share our top 10 list along with a few others. We could not agree on the rank order, so this is not in any particular order of preference! Know also that all of these dining options are not currently available, so check the
dining updates as it gets closer to the time of your visit.
- 'Ohana
- Cinderella's Royal Table
- Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera
- California Grill
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
- 50's Prime Time Café
- Be Our Guest Restaurant
- Sanaa
- The Crystal Palace
- Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant
Of course, there are several restaurants at Disney Springs that offer fabulous food and fun experiences. Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' appeals to our southern U.S. roots, The Edison has fun food and feels like you are dining in the workshop of the famous inventor. STK Orlando has gorgeous outside seating and feels very much like an adults' night out spot. For some low key good food, we also enjoy Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona Cafe, Ale & Compass Restaurant, Rose & Crown Dining Room, and Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.
I also have to add that our girls make a habit of reading restaurant reviews, so we know quite well that people have strong opinions about some of our favorite dining experiences. Be Our Guest Restaurant, for example, is expensive for our budget, but we LOVE dining in the Grand Ballroom, towards the very back. For me, there is nothing quite like watching the falling snow through one of the picture windows. We always request window tables at California Grill, Grand Floridian Cafe, and The Crystal Palace. At Rose & Crown Dining Room, we request outdoor seating as long as the weather is cooperative.
Prior to every trip, I also estimate our food costs and I account for any discounts we may have - Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club. Also make sure you have downloaded the
My Disney Experience Mobile App and use the app to
Mobile Dine Check-in for dining reservations. Remember to make your dining reservations 60 days prior to your visit. And review the
operational updates prior to your trip to note any updates to park procedures and experience availability.
Alex, we are delighted to welcome you back to a world of magic very soon!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
