What are the top 5 must-do experiences for families to enjoy onboard the Disney Wish? Are there any special activities for the 4th of July weekend?

Hi there, Jamarius! Welcome back to planDisney!

Your cruise aboard the Disney Wish is fast approaching, and I’m excited for you! It sounds like you’re planning some family bonding time on board, and the Disney Wish is the perfect place for that! I’d love to share five of my family’s favorite activities on board with you!

For all of these activities, be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to find out when they're happening, and note that offerings are always subject to change.

    1. Visit the sports arena, Hero Zone, to play air hockey, foosball, basketball, and table tennis together. Incredi-Course also takes place here, featuring an inflatable obstacle course that everyone can compete in! Plus, the cutest event on board, Jack-Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash, happens here, where babies compete in a crawling race. Yes, you read that right: the Disney Wish races real human babies here, and you don't want to miss it!
    2. Visit Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge during the day. Kids are allowed to be here with their families before 9 PM, and there are plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available for the oldest to the youngest. Bonus Tip: Check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for the times Lightsaber Photos are happening, for the coolest family lightsaber photos here!
    3. Visit the Youth Clubs during Open House hours. Why walk to Disney’s Oceaneer Club on board the Disney Wish when you can go down the slide?! That’s right, even adults can slide down during Open House hours! There’s so much to explore in all of the Youth Clubs, and the best part is that during Open House hours, the entire family can take part in the activities together!
    4. Play family games. From Family Karaoke to tons of Disney-related Trivia, to game shows where you’re the contestants, there are plenty of family games happening all day and evening long! Plus, if you're winners, those Disney Cruise Line medals make the best souvenirs!
    5. Watch the Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theater. You'll sing, laugh, and cry joyfully together. My family still reminisces about how good Disney The Little Mermaid was!

Bonus Tip: Order cookies and milk from Room Service for the coziest late-night family movie in bed. After a fun-filled day, unwind together with a Disney movie played on your stateroom television, while munching on warm chocolate chip cookies and milk delivered from the complimentary Room Service.

As for July 4th festivities, I verified with Disney Cruise Line that, while there won’t be any Independence Day activities on board your cruise, you can look forward to the Fireworks at Sea happening during Pirate Night on July 4th! In the meantime, I’d be planning those coordinating family pirate outfits for the cutest family photos on board!

Jamarius, I hope I gave you some great family activity ideas aboard the Disney Wish! I WISH your family the most incredible time and beautiful memories ahead! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
