what are the top 3 character meals you would suggest for a 3 1/2yr old girl? we cant get a reservation at the cinderella royal table at anytime the week we are going but i do have a dinner reservation at akersus with all the princess' except cinderella.

    Hi Jhanna,

As a fellow mother of a 3 1/2 year old girl, I think I might be qualified to answer this question.  Princess dining is definitely something you should try to do, so I'm glad you have the reservation at Akershus.  Were you told, specifically that Cinderella would not be there?  We went in both December and February, and Cinderella was there both times.  She's not guaranteed to be there, but you never know!  You'll see 5 princesses at your dinner.  One will greet you in the lobby and take pictures with you.  The other four will stop by your table during your meal.  My little girl was literally shaking with excitement when she saw a princess!! It was truly a magical moment.

Is your little one a Playhouse Disney fan?  If she is, and if Handy Manny and Little Einsteins are favorite characters, then Hollywood &Vine at Hollywood Studios is a must.  The characters come to the table, but they also invite the kids to come and dance with them at certain times.  It's really fun, and the breakfast is great.

Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom features Winnie the Pooh and friends.  This is always a popular spot for our family.

If dining with Mickey and Minnie is important, try Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort.

I know, that was four choices, but I wanted to give you another option in case Playhouse Disney wasn't your thing.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
