HI! We took our 5 and 8 yr old to WDW for the first time in Feb and stayed at POR. We're planning 2nd trip in 09 + considering dlx res. incl. Swan and Dolp as my husb is state emp and gets disc. Are they worth $ diff and what do you recommend? Thanks.

Why not try one of the lodges? The Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge are deluxe resorts but their per night cost is not as steep as the other deluxes. Both of these resorts are beautiful and offer full service restaurants, recreational activities and pleasant pool areas.

The Swan and Dolphin resorts are in close proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. If you are planning on spending time at either of these parks, you would benefit with the easy boat transportation.

If you liked the rustic feel of Port Orleans Riverside, I think you family would truly enjoy one of the lodges.
