Hi Karen, welcome to planDisney!
How do Walt Disney World Resort vacation moments last forever? With timeless
Disney PhotoPass images, of course. How else would I remember the look of terror on my toddler's face the first time he rode Frozen Ever After or my husband's commitment when he posed as the Beast during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? A tremendous amount of hard work goes into creating my family's photo book each year, so I can relate to your desire to edit your vacation images as part of the Disney PhotoPass download process.
Over the years, the carousel of progress has brought significant enhancements to the Disney PhotoPass experience. Most notable for my family are the MagicShots and complimentary media that often prompt the phrase, "How did they do that?!" Last year's Christmas card even featured my family inside a snow globe on Main Street, U.S.A. Regrettably, one of the Disney PhotoPass features that has not stood the test of time is the ability for Guests to add borders and stickers to their vacation photos. Changes to the Disney PhotoPass website and My Disney Experience mobile app removed this option and not even Madame Leota knows if or when these popular editing features may be restored.
As you discovered, Karen, you can currently add a variety of color filters to your Disney PhotoPass photos on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. If you purchased Disney Genie+ serve at any point during your stay, I also encourage you to have some fun with the
Disney PhotoPass Lenses found in the app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> Disney PhotoPass Lenses). My kids love unveiling their inner Disney villains, in particular. Access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses expires 45 days after Disney Genie+ service was purchased, much like Disney PhotoPass images expire 45 days after the date they were taken.
I hope the magic captured in your vacation photos lives on inside your heart now and always, Karen.
Plan magic; planDisney.
