    I took my son to WDW last Sept and the best part in his opinion was the resort (CBR) pool. Now I am planning to go to Disneyland. Which one of the 3 Disney resorts has the best water play area for a 4-year-old? What about any of the good neighbor hotels?

    My daughter, now 6, is happy at pretty much any pool as long as there's a slide!  All 3 Disneyland Hotel Pool areas feature slides, but if I had to choose the one best suited to a 4 year old, I'd probably have to recommend the Disneyland Hotel, as the pool area here is the most immersive and themed of the three.

    There are three monorail-themed waterslides at the Disneyland Hotel, but the smallest guests will have a blast screaming down the mini-slide that is just 3.5 feet high and 19 feet long!  There is a shallow splash play area located beneath the water slides that can provide hours of for your child!  I know I have a hard time getting my daughter to leave when we visit the Disneyland Hotel pool!  I can hear her now "Mom... PLEASE.  Just ONE more time."  From water slide to shallow pool and then over to hot tub, there is plenty to entertain her!  And the scene is great for the grown ups as well!  In the evenings, live island inspired music fills the air and food and beverages are available from the adjacent Trader Sam's and Tangaroa Terrace.  There are even luxury cabanas available for half or full day rentals!

    Moving on to Good Neighbor Hotels, I have heard rave reviews of the Howard Johnson's "Water Playground" area.  This hotel's pirate-themed Castaway Cove features a toddler pool and pirate ship splash area!
