Welcome back to planDisney, Sally. We just love when you stop by! It looks like your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is getting closer and closer by the day. How exciting!

I know exactly what you're asking about. Both my sons experienced a swashbuckling makeover at The Pirate's League in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park. They loved it just as much as your kiddo did! Unfortunately, this experience is no longer available in or out of the theme parks. But not to worry! I have a few suggestions.

Is your son a fan of Star Wars? If he is, then a reservation at Droid Depot or Savi's Workshop at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will be a must-do! At Droid Depot, your kiddo can assemble a custom astromech droid unit (a necessary sidekick for galactic adventures!). At Savi's Workshop, he can build a custom lightsaber. It's a Jedi-worthy experience! My sons have experienced both Droid Depot and Savi's Workshop, and I can say that they probably enjoyed these Enchanting Extras even more than they enjoyed The Pirate's League.

Another option to consider is a reservation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park. If your son enjoyed a pirate makeover, he may also enjoy being transformed into a daring knight with the help of one of Fairy Godmother's Apprentices!

These Enchanting Extras can be booked as early as 60-days in advance, just like dining reservations. You're within that booking window now, so I recommend making a reservation for your son as soon as possible. The sooner you book, the better availability you'll find!
