Tomorrow is my year until we go day! We'll be staying onsite for the first time. I've been to Orlando eight times already but never stayed in the Disney bubble. What should I be doing now?

Hello Beverley! I can hear the excitement coming through in your question! There is something special about reaching the “one-year” mark until your Walt Disney World vacation! Your first time staying in the “Disney bubble” is also something that will make your visit even more magical!

Honestly, I have (almost) as much fun planning our Disney World vacations as I do visiting! With one year to go, you have plenty of time to continue your planning. Here are a few suggestions!

I’m guessing you already have your Disney World resort hotel selected. If you do, explore your resort on the Disney World website. Check out the pool, dining, and shopping options. You’re going to want to experience everything your resort has to offer!

Another helpful tip is to be sure you have set up your My Disney Experience account and downloaded the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device! These are great planning tools for before, during, and after your vacation!

Next, start thinking about a loose plan for which parks you want to visit on each day of your visit. Also, be thinking about which days you want to build in as resort (non-park) days. A day at a Disney World hotel is a blast! Enjoy the pools, the food, and the amenities. Also, non-park resort days are a great way to rest and recharge for future park visits during your vacation.

Next, you should start to consider which Disney Dining experiences you want to enjoy. You may want to enjoy dining at your resort hotel, in the theme parks, at Disney Springs, or all three! Create a loose plan for which restaurants you want to prioritize and when you want to dine at each.

Finally, Beverley, I want you to keep a close eye on the Disney World website for the next several months. There will likely be some special offers available that may save you some money!

This is an exciting time, Beverley! I’m glad you shared your excitement with us at planDisney! Keep sending us questions! We’re happy to help!

    Dreams do come true!
