Hi Wendy! Any question about Disney Dining is a great question! I enjoy planning my Disney Dining experiences just about as much as I enjoy planning my visits to the Disney Parks! There is just something uniquely special about dining “within the magic” of the Walt Disney World Resort!
While there is not a service offered that will automatically book a Disney Dining reservation for you, there is a feature through the My Disney Experience app known as the “
Walk-Up Wait List.” You can search for any Disney Dining location on your My Disney Experience app. When the restaurant appears, you’ll see an icon that states, “Join Walk-Up List.” The icon looks like a clipboard with a fork and spoon. Once you click on the icon, you’ll need to provide some information regarding your dining party. You’ll then receive a text alert informing you that you are on the list! An approximate wait time will be included.
It's important to know that you must be within proximity of the restaurant for the “Join Walk-Up List” to work. If you try to join the list but are not within proximity, you’ll get a message alerting you that you’re too far away from the restaurant and that you need to move closer.
Wendy, I see that your magical vacation begins in just a few weeks! Keep trying to snag a reservation for
‘Ohana! Guests change their plans all the time which can sometimes result in canceled dining reservations. You never know when you might get lucky with a reservation! I’ve even had success with finding “day of” reservations at some of the most popular Disney Dining locations!
Speaking of popular Disney Dining locations, you mentioned
Chef Mickey’s! Yes, breakfast is still one of the meal periods available at Chef Mickey’s! In fact, it is my favorite meal at Chef Mickey’s! The other meal period offered at Chef Mickey’s is dinner which is also delicious, but I love filling up on eggs and Mickey waffles in the morning!
Happy Planning!
Jonathan
