Hi there, Trisha!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for this wonderful question. While a vacation to the
Disneyland Resort can be one of the most magical times in your life, it can also be a little stressful when worrying about children wandering off or getting separated from your group.
While no GPS device exists within the Disneyland Resort, I have heard of these devices available which you can purchase on your own prior to arrival if this gives you peace of mind. If a child becomes separated from you in the parks, Cast Members are trained to handle these situations by bringing the child to the
Baby Care Center in that park. There is a Baby Care Center in Disneyland Park just off of Main Street, U.S.A and one in Disney California Adventure Park located in Pacific Wharf.
Before my last trip, my 4 year old was finally able to understand the concept of getting lost, and we discussed a protocol if he was to ever get separated from me. I showed him pictures of Cast Member name tags and told him how to locate them and what to say. If your child is too young to speak, you can also place a bracelet or temporary tattoo on them with your contact information if they are found. For very young children, some parents like using a toddler harness or backpack with a wrist attachment to keep their child close. Whatever you choose to do for your family to give you the most peace of mind is totally fine. Your family's happiness and safety is the number one priority!
I hope this helps, and please feel free to return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
