Hi Kimberly!
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!
Disney’s BoardWalk is such a perfect location for a wedding. We are
Disney Vacation Club Members and
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas is one of our Home Resorts so we stay here often. We always enjoy seeing the many brides and weddings that take place at the resort. Here’s to hoping that maybe someday one of my children would love to be married there!
To my knowledge, the
Specialty Cruises that are available near Disney’s BoardWalk Resort are the small pontoons that take Guests on a fireworks cruise. These boats are extremely limited, hold a maximum of 10 Guests, and can be booked 60 days in advance. I’m not sure if that is what you were looking for, or if you were hoping for something that held more Guests. You would need to call Disney at (407) WDW- PLAY to inquire about availability and booking if possible, or perhaps speak with your Disney Wedding Team at
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons. I think it is very common for these to book exactly 60 days out, right when the phones open, and to those with the fastest dialing fingers. These cruises are generally available, but they may be paused from time to time. Since here at planDisney we are Guests just like you, and not Disney Cast Members, I can’t check availability for you, but if you’ve already called that number and were told there were no openings, I would assume that it was true.
Have you considered any other options? Through Disney Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons you may be able to arrange a dessert party with cake and champagne at one of the private viewing firework areas of Epcot. I know you said your dream was Epcot, but you could also check availability for specialty cruises at Magic Kingdom. If you were okay with a less private affair, you could take your Guests on the
Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise at Magic Kingdom, where you’ll enjoy sweet treats and a boat side view of Disney Enchantment! Since this is outside the park, no theme park tickets would be needed by your Guests.
Kimberly, I hope you can find the perfect way to end your special day with family and friends. We’ll be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in 2022, and my best advice is to admit when you were wrong, forgive often, and love each other always. The rest will work itself out!
