Hi, I was told by many military families that there is free admission for military families. Is this true? I have searched the Internet for free tickets for military ID holders and had no luck.

    Hi Melissa,

I think it was in 2009 there was a special Armed Forces Salute Ticket.  Each qualifying military member was given a 5 day park hopper ticket, and they could purchase special tickets for their family members at a significantly reduced rate.  This offer was only available from January 4-December 23, 2009.

Although Disney hasn't offered another FREE ticket to members of the military, they do offer tickets at reduced rates available only to military families.  Right now, there is a Disney Military Promotional Ticket that is available through September 30, 2012.  For more information call (407) 939-7830.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
