We were told by a friend that you are now requiring Negative Covid test for school aged kids. Is that true? We are scheduled already to go on New Years. Do we need to get our kids (8 y/o and 3 y/o) a COVID Test?

    Hey Maria Agnes!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Ringing in the new year at the Happiest Place on Earth is so much fun! There’s nothing like celebrating a new year with Mickey Mouse! I’ll be celebrating this year on the opposite coast at the Walt Disney World Resort! You're going to love all of the Christmas decorations at both parks so I hope you have time to visit both.

At this time, the state of California strongly recommends that guests be fully vaccinated or receive a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. So while it’s strongly recommended that your 8 and 3 year old receive a COVID test prior to entering the theme parks, it is not a requirement at this time. I would continue to check the Know Before You Go page as requirements could change at any time.

Well Maria Agnes, wishing you a wonderful new year from us here at the panel!

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
