    Hi Katie, welcome to planDisney!

Looks like you have a few months before your magical vacation to the Disneyland Resort begins! Great idea on planning in advance. I'm a planner too, so I can relate!

I'm happy to walk you through the recently launched Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ services at the Disneyland Resort! Disney Genie service is complimentary and anyone can access it through the Disneyland app. It includes a personalized itinerary creator, gives you both attraction and dining recommendations and helps you to map out your day! The Disneyland Resort website has some great how-to videos to help you get started!

Disney Genie+ service is the next level. It's available for purchase as an add-on to your ticket or vacation package. If you've already purchased your tickets, you can still purchase this service through the Disneyland app on the day of your park visit, after you've entered the park! Disney Genie+ service gives you access to the Lightning Lane entrances which are now available at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The Lightning Lane entrances give you quicker entry to certain attractions, hopefully resulting in less time spent waiting in line. For the more high-demand attractions, you can individually purchase Lightning Lane access, limited to two attractions per day. If you decide to purchase an individual Lightning Lane entry for an attraction, it has to be done in the Disneyland app after you've entered the theme park.

The Disneyland Resort website has a super helpful section all about the Lightning Lane entrances, which will give you the current prices and the latest listing of the attractions included in both of the options I mentioned.

And lastly, we can't forget about dining reservations! These can be booked up to 60 days in advance. If there are certain dining reservations you would like to book, I recommend booking them as soon as your 60-day window opens up, as these tend to book quickly!

I know that was a lot of info, so if you've got any more questions, or if anything was unclear, please come visit us again!

    See ya real soon!
