Hi ya, Jeremy!
Welcome to planDisney. I’m cheering states away from you now because you're going to
Walt Disney World. This is it—the final countdown, which means you need to be the designated mail checker until that magical piece of mail arrives.
You can usually find your welcome package in your mailbox about two weeks before your arrival. The good news is it isn’t large, so it's easy to sneak in and hide from Mouseketeers who don’t know they are visiting just yet. Trust me, my husband and I have juggled this surprise many times, over the years. It can be tricky, but completely worth it in the end. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way of tracking it on your end, so stand guard over the mailbox. Or as Scar would sing, “Be Prepared!”.
Aside from some color, this magical mail can be disguised as normal mail. I’m trying to think back on our last visit, and I want to say it’s in a blue envelope with no distinct markers other than a small castle on the corner. The true magic is what’s inside! And the luggage tags are thin enough to fit inside the envelope, so to the unknowing eye, it’s easy to ignore. Hopefully, she can manage to show zero interest in the mail so you can sneak it in. My husband and I also usually come up with some excuse as to why the adults need to be the ones handling the mail for the next few weeks. Something along the lines of “important work stuff” usually works with our ten and seven-year-old.
I also noticed that you have planned to enjoy the
Water Park Benefit on check-in day! I recommend keeping a separate pool bag packed and ready to go on top of your luggage. That way, you are packed and ready to cool down with some splashin' good fun. Our must-do is the
Cross Country Creek. We could lounge for hours!
Jeremy, I’m eager to see this well-planned visit come to life and surprise your daughter! Remember to capture the moment or live in the moment so well that it becomes a core memory. Enjoy this much-needed family vacation and see ya real soon.
Warm Hugs,
Shantel
