I've been told that at the end o the day the Magic Kingdom has a little performance called A Good Night Kiss as the park closes. Is this so and do any other parks do something special at closing?

Hey Howdy Hey Jim and welcome to planDisney!

Nighttime firework shows are some of the best ways to end your day in Disney theme parks. There is one other very special and unique way to end your night and that would be with the Kiss Goodnight! You will have the opportunity to view this show with reduced crowds as most leave right after the nighttime shows. Let's talk about some of the details so you will be able to end your nights in the parks the right way!

As of this writing, Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort is the only place you will be able to see a Kiss Goonight. You may be able to catch some special shows periodically on icons such as Spaceship Earth in EPCOT or on the Tree of Life in Disney's Animal Kingdom, but Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom is the place you want to be. This show is a special, unadvertised show that happens on some nights displayed on Cinderella Castle. This usually happens 30 minutes after the park closes and is just an extra magical touch for all those leaving the park. These shows are available on nights during regular park hours without special after-hours events. Make sure to have your camera ready as this show will give you some great shots of Cinderella Castle and the hub surrounding with reduced crowds.

While I would really advise you to linger around a bit longer to experience this show, I would also encourage you to keep an eye on your clock if you are relying on resort transportation to get back to your Disney Collections Resort. Resort transportation runs approximately 1 hour after the parks close so just make sure you give yourself enough time to get to transportation to get back to your resort!

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your upcoming trip later this year and if you have any further questions please let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
