Hi there, Robert! Thanks for bringing your intriguing question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I have heard different variations of the claim that the Disneyland Resort has more attractions than the Walt Disney World Resort, but never researched it further…until today! First, when it comes to attractions, the Disney Parks list different types of experiences as attractions. These can be everything from roller coasters and boat rides to galleries, games, and even animal viewing experiences. I compared the numbers for each park, combining a few similar attractions and including some attractions that are opening soon, and here are my findings:
Disneyland Park: 48 attractions
Disney California Adventure Park: 29 attractions
Total Disneyland Resort attractions: 77 Magic Kingdom Park: 39 attractions
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: 23 attractions
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 9 attractions
Epcot: 32 attractions
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: 11 attractions
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park: 12 attractions
Total Walt Disney World Resort attractions: 126 So while it’s true that Disneyland Park has more attractions than Magic Kingdom Park, the Walt Disney World Resort as a whole takes the top prize for number of attractions. After several visits to both coasts, I can tell you, though, there are many things that I can’t count. I couldn’t begin to tally how many smiles appear on my daughter’s face and the number of magical memories we have from each visit. I also can’t enumerate how many times I have left the parks with the insatiable desire to return as soon as possible. Between attractions, entertainment, and every picture-perfect detail, the magic really is endless at the Disney Parks!
