I told my daughter she can bring a friend. So lets say we have 1 friend going,But then instead of that friend it changes to a different friend right before we leave. Can we still use the same magic band, even though it has a different name in it.

Hi Marcia!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I hope that you are enjoying planning your magical trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. With so many fun attractions and entertainment options, there is something for Guests of all ages to enjoy. I think it is wonderful that your daughter will be bringing a friend! I'm sure that they will have the time of their lives.

While I'm not sure how old your daughter is, I'm assuming she may be older than a Little One. There is a great planning guide to help your party Have the Best Day Ever with your Tweens and Teens. Be sure to check out the Planning Guide for Teens, Tweens & Older Kids. If the kids are looking for something fun to do outside of the Theme Parks, consider a visit to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.

If your daughter does decide on a different friend, she could use the same MagicBand even though the name on the back would be different. Something that my family does is pick Disney character's names to put on the back of the MagicBand. If you chose to go down that route, say the friend chose Cinderella, that is the name that would appear on the back of the band. If there is a change in Guest on the reservation, be sure to update that information. Also, you would have to re-assign any unused/active Theme Park Tickets.
