I was told that Coronado springs resort didn’t accommodate 5 people in a room, but now I see it on the list? Which way is correct?

Hi Kendra, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is one of my family’s very favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World. From the beautiful theming to the amazing pool to the gorgeous sunsets over Lago Dorado, it’s our idea of the perfect “home” when we’re not living our best lives in the theme parks.

The rooms at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort do sleep four adults in most cases. I’m not sure what list you’re looking at, but I bet it’s including the suites, which sleep anywhere from four to eight adults depending on the category. Because this resort is one of Walt Disney World’s convention hotels, it attracts a lot of business travelers, and so it offers suite accommodations. If you look at the “Room Rates” tab on the resort's web page, you’ll be able to see the various categories, take a photo tour, and even click the “View Amenities” drop-down for a full amenity listing.

Have you seen the announcements about the new tower being added to this resort? It will add over 500 new Guest rooms and add even more great dining. We don’t have many details about the Guest rooms there yet, but I can’t wait to stay there for #resEARch!

Kendra, if you’re looking for a Moderate Resort with rooms that sleep five Guests, may I recommend the Pirate rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or the Alligator Bayou section at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside? Both options have fantastic, kid-friendly pools, lovely grounds, and fun theming in the rooms.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
