Hi, I was told buying the photo packages can be relevantly expensive. Besides, using my cell phone for shots, does Disney sell photos separately? If so, how much, where and does that include Magic shots? Thanks.

Hi, Rona! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for stopping by with your picture-perfect question about the Walt Disney World Resort.

One of the things you'll discover when visiting Walt Disney World is that there's a magical memory waiting around just about every corner. You'll definitely want to capture as many of them as you can, and it's so easy to do just that with Disney PhotoPass Service!

Here are the basics. Let's say you're strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., and decide to strike a pose with the iconic Cinderella Castle as your backdrop. Just head to the nearest Disney PhotoPass photographer and smile for the camera. The photographer will scan your MagicBand and your photo will "auto-magically" appear in your My Disney Experience account a short time later. The photo will have a watermark on it unless you decide to purchase it, which you can do right there in your My Disney Experience account. You can buy as many as you like, or just one special photo to represent your magical Disney day.

For access to each and every Disney PhotoPass photo, onboard ride photos and videos, Magic Shots, and more, you'll want to consider Memory Maker. As I write this, Memory Maker is $169 if purchased in advance of your Walt Disney World visit, while individual photos are about $14 each (please note that prices are subject to change). It's actually a pretty good deal if you take a lot of photos - and trust me, you'll take a lot of photos!

Check out the map at the bottom of the Disney PhotoPass page on the Walt Disney World website for a guide to many of the PhotoPass locations.

Rona, as a Floridian, you might want to think about getting a Florida Resident Annual Pass. All Passholders at the Gold level and above get free downloads of all the digital content uploaded to your My Disney Experience account. My family has a mix of Silver and Gold Annual Passes just so we have access to our photos and videos. It works perfectly for us!

I hope this helps you capture all the magic of your Walt Disney World Resort visit, Rona. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
