Hi Kelly,
We are delighted to see you dropping by planDisney with a question!
Our girls have food allergies as well so I am always happy to discuss. Since you are visiting with a toddler, I will suggest that you bring a few of your little one's favorite snacks. Having a few snacks they are familiar with has always helped our girls manage in the parks. We most often pack these and bring them from home, but, from time to time, we have also ordered from a grocery delivery service.
Prepare to make
advance dining reservations. We prefer to make dining reservations after checking the menus of dining locations we would love to visit. From the homepage of each restaurant, we click on View Menu to see the dining options, including allergy-friendly ones. Cinderella's Royal Table, for example, has a
breakfast menu that includes allergy-friendly options. Although we prefer table-service meals, we have also checked quick-service menus looking for allergy-friendly options. So, take some time to list the dining locations you would like to visit and then check to see if they have allergy-friendly options on the menus.
There is also a
Special Dietary Requests Team. They typically support folks with four or more food allergies. If your toddler has more than the three you have mentioned here, I suggest that you contact them. Know that you can always ask to speak to a chef. When we have visited dining locations that are buffet-style, the chef will come to our table and tell us what our girls can eat from the buffet. Our daughter with the most significant food allergies always feels better after she has spoken with a chef.
Kelly, I hope this helps! Keep some snacks with you, check menus prior to your visit, and then always remember that you can ask to speak to a chef. In the meantime, I am thrilled about your upcoming visit. With
Tiana's Bayou Adventure opening soon, I have to say, you are
almost there!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
