I have a toddler that doesn't eat anything but peanut butter. Can I get dining plans for the rest of my family and just pay for him al'carte as we go? I understand that character meals would be an exception.

    Hi Heather!

I hope you are having fun planning your Walt Disney World vacation.  Understandably, trying to feed the whole family on vacation can take a lot of planning.

The answer to your question depends upon the age of your toddler.  For children UNDER 3 (meaning 0-2) they are actually FREE. Free is always magical in my book!  In fact you cannot purchase a meal plan for them and you do not need park tickets for them.  For children 3 and up they will have to have the same Magic Your Way package as all the people in your room.  So for children 3 and up, if you choose the Disney Dining Plan then every person on your reservation will have that plan.

Since you referenced your child as a toddler, I am guessing they are probably under 3.  If so then your child can dine at the buffets with you without any additional cost, and this includes their drink.  If you dine at a non-buffet table service or counter service location your child may share from your plate and glass or you may choose to order items separately for him.

I hope this information helps you in planning your vacation.  Please come back and visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any further vacation planning questions.  We love to help!
