Hi Aimee,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I remember my days of visiting Walt Disney World with a little one in tow! You might want to visit the Walt Disney World planning page for
guests with young children to help you plan your vacation. There certainly can be a lot to carry when you visit theme parks with young children. Let me share with you how I managed everything.
I have always been the most comfortable with a backpack when I am at Walt Disney World. Backpacks come in various sizes, so you can choose what is best for you. When I was young and had no children, I carried a tiny backpack. When my daughter was young, I carried a larger backpack to fit diapers, snacks, toys, and so on. I find a backpack to work well because it distributes the weight of whatever you are carrying across both shoulders. This is what has been the most comfortable for me; others will surely have other opinions. Do be sure that whatever bag you decide to bring, that it fits in the dimensions listed on the
restricted personal items page.
Also, if your little one still uses a stroller, do not forget the space under the stroller for storage. We would bring an umbrella stroller that had a mesh holder underneath of the seat, and this was great for storing items!
One more tip I have for visiting with young ones is to be sure to take advantage of the
Baby Care Centers. Located in each theme park, these centers are a great place to feed, change, or simply take a break in air conditioning with your little ones.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Aimee! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
