Hello, April!
I hope you’re having fun preparing for your son’s magical birthday celebration at the
Disneyland Resort! Fortunately, the resort is extremely accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions due to common
food allergies. Many restaurants, including sit-down and quick-service locations, offer allergy-friendly menus upon request that are broken down by category and include alternate meal options.
Nut-free snacks can be found throughout both theme parks at mobile snack carts, such as fresh chilled fruits and veggies and pre-packaged frozen dessert bars. The Disneyland Resort’s individually-wrapped pickles and pineapple spears are well-known and crave-worthy treats, even for those not avoiding certain foods! I’ve also spotted pre-packaged cookies, trail mix and chocolate bars that are free of the eight most common allergens, including nuts. My favorite nut-free dessert is one of the most iconic Disney treats: Dole Whip, a pineapple-flavored soft serve delight! Mickey-shaped soft pretzels are a fun, portable snack that’s also free of nuts.
There are multiple restaurants that currently don’t have any tree nut items on their regular menus, such as Flo’s V8 Café, Award Wieners, Galactic Grill, and Hungry Bear Restaurant (with the exception of almonds on one salad). Lucky Fortune Cookery in Disney California Adventure Park doesn’t use any egg or peanut/tree nut products in their food preparation at all, so this would be another excellent choice! However, please double check in person before your son enjoys any food item, as ingredients and menus are subject to change.

Wishing you magic,
