Hi moms todays question is, arriving in a couple of weeks (just me and DH) at POFQ, we have reservations for a river view room, but what would be the best preferred room. We are not bothered about how far to walk etc but would like something quiet

    Hi Barbara!

Your Walt Disney World vacation, just the two of you, sounds practically-perfect in every way. You selected a beautifully charming Disney Resort hotel, and I'd recommend buildings 1, 6 or 7 if seeking a tranquil room location at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter. Although never guaranteed, Disney Reservations will make concerted efforts to meet your requests.

My best advice is to contact either the travel agent you worked with originally, or Disney Reservations directly at (407) 934-7639. Place your requests on your reservation, and then call again 4-10 days prior to your arrival. Not every River View Room will be quiet, however, due to the proximity between building 2 and the Ferry Dock. I'd reiterate your requests to the Cast Member and I'm certain they'll do their best to assist you.

Upon checking in, ask the Cast Member to show you the location of the room, and if available they may be able to move you to a preferred building, per your request.

Lastly, if you haven't heard already, the horse drawn carriage rides along the Sassagoula River at Disney's Port Orleans are a must-do on romantic getaways ... simply magical!

Wishing you a Pixie Dusted vacation, Barbara.
