Hi! Today is the first day to book our Fast Passes, and I'm trying hard not to overschedule and just let my kids enjoy their first WDW experience. Going late jan/early feb, when crowds are a little less heavy. How necessary are FPs?

    Hi Jocelyn,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are asking one of those questions that each Disney Parks Moms Panelist would answer a little differently. I have traveled that same week with younger ones and I can understand wanting to be able to go with the flow.  However, you might be surprised by how crowded the Walt Disney World Resort can be in late January! I still recommend making FastPass+ selections in advance.

You can make 3 FastPass+ selections per day in advance. Having those 3 FastPass+ selections helps you to be certain you can visit favorite attractions. Even when crowds are lighter, lines for attractions can be long. You can spread your FastPass+ selections across the whole day or concentrate them earlier in the day. If you use your 3 FastPass+ selections and find your family is still ready for adventure, you can add additional FastPass+ selections one at a time.

Jocelyn, thank you for visiting us with another great question! I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
