Hi Jacalyn!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I am very happy to see that you have a trip planned for next month! I cannot wait to return to the Most Magical Place on Earth too, and it's a very exciting time with Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park opening on July 11th, with EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios following closely behind with an opening date of July 15th.
Disney's Pop Century Resort is scheduled to re-open this week.
Everything POP Shopping & Dining is a Quick-Service location which will offer mobile ordering when it re-opens, and it is unknown at this time whether that will continue through August, for your trip.
Mobile ordering is completed via your My Disney Experience mobile app - you will select your menu items, make your payment and advise the restaurant when you are ready to collect your food. I would assume it is highly unlikely that the microwave and toaster will be available for Guests to use, as everything is being organised for reduced contact, but if the restaurant opens up availability for Guests to use the location it may be possible for the Cast Members to assist with these. In this ever-changing situation I can only advise you to enquire when you arrive at the Resort.
Tipping is something I have also been thinking about. At this time, it is recommended all Guests use cashless payment options whenever possible during their visit, including debit cards, credit cards, Disney gift cards, etc. Guests can also opt for contactless payment options, such as mobile wallets, or use cash to purchase a Disney Gift Card. However,
my fellow panelist Diane is currently visiting Walt Disney World Resort and said that tipping with cash has been acceptable in some circumstances (namely for luggage delivery and housekeeping). For dining, I would add a gratuity to my contactless payment. If you are interested in making any dining reservations for your visit, these are now
available to be made online, up to 60 days in advance.
I haven't been made aware of any updates to the $100 hold on your room folio, so I expect this will still be in place, but please enquire about this at the Front Desk of your Resort hotel.
At this time, during the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our holidays to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience. Please read this information about
